Questions Regarding Orders
How does this work?
The nursery is a private residence and not open to the public for browsing. In the first year, I used drop point locations; however, I find it’s easier to just coordinate with each buyer individually. I do not deliver plants; however, you can pre-order your plants to pick up at the Ambler Farm Market in May, June, September or October. I am still open during the summer, but will not be at the Farm Market during the summer weeks.
How can I place an order?
You can place your order any time. I will reach out to you about the order through the contact information provided. Once we’ve coordinated, I’ll approve the order, at which point you can make your payment. You need to pay for your order prior to picking up. Alternatively if you wish to place a large order, and/or you are ordering for a tax-exempt organization, please contact me for arrangements (including handling order pick-up/delivery).
Do you ship?
I do ship to the eastern half of the US. If you live in one of the states (or just really far away to arrange pick-up), you may request a shipping quote when you place your order. You will not be asked for payment until I have provided you with a shipping quote and approved the order.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major US credit/debit cards. For in-person sales at the market or pop-up sales, I accept cash, cheque or tap-to-pay.
Can I pay cash? Can I come to shop?
I do not currently have a retail storefront. The nursery is my personal residence. That being said, I do occasionally attend events or am offered a location to do a pop-up shop, and I will be selling at the Ambler Farm Market in the spring and fall months (not in July or August). Be sure to follow me on several social media platforms (Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram or Threads), where I’ll update whenever I have an upcoming pop-up sale or market date.
Would you be willing to swap plants?
That depends. Send me a message and let me know what you have available. I may be willing to work something out.
Can I work for plants?
Possibly! Send me a message.
Why not provide an option for delivery?
I do not have the time to deliver orders while also operating a nursery and managing a household. Exceptions can be made for large orders, or if I am including the plants as part of a design/install. If you’re looking for something a bit more than a typical online order, please contact me.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule my order?
That’s okay! Please use the contact form to send a message.
What if I miss a pick-up?
If you don’t come to get your plants, and I cannot reach you with the contact information provided, your order is cancelled and refunded in full. I haven’t had an issue with this yet, but if this becomes a problem, there will be an automatic restocking fee deducted.
Please don’t do this. I am respectful of everyone’s busy schedules, and I ask that you’re respectful of mine. If you commit to a date/time/location, that time out of my schedule to be there, too.
Can I bring you my empty pots?
Please! I would absolutely accept any non-branded pots to keep reusing for growing and selling plants as long as they’re in decent, usable shape (nothing badly cracked and held together with duct tape). After all, they’re just a way to transport the plant from my nursery to your garden. Let’s keep them out of landfills as long as possible.
I can’t use the branded pots because they’re for selling cultivars that belong to those brands. Ask any of the nurseries who sell those brands if they would be interested in taking them back.
Do you sell at any retail locations?
Check out my event page for a list of current pop-up sale dates, locations and times, as well as which days I’ll be selling at the Ambler Farmer’s Market.
Can you come to my event?
I’m always open to hearing about any local (southern Montgomery County, PA, or nearby) events, festivals, native plant sales, garden tours or similar where people may be interested in buying native plants. Please send me a message with the event details, and I’ll get back to you as to whether or not I can fit it in my schedule!
Is my personal information secure?
Yes, I use 3rd party payment processing to handle the financial stuff, and I don’t sell your information to 3rd parties. You can create an account, and I’m the only one who has access to that information, with the ability to delete it if you need me to. I only need your info to get your order together and get your plants to you at the allotted time. At this point in time, I don’t even send a newsletter – it’s just whatever emails you get pertaining to your order.
