At The MagiK Garden…
Seed & Spore Hold
The Future in Store
In some Native languages
the term for plants translates to
“those who take care of us.”
– Robin Wall Kimmerer
I grow and nurture US native plants which, in turn, “take care of you,”
as well as the ecosystem which we all inhabit.
“I’ve been looking everywhere for this, but nobody else carries it!”
Fairy wands, unicorn roots, and starflowers are just some of what you’ll find at The MagiK Garden. Green dragons dance with Quaker ladies in the dappled woods, and spring beauties and meadow beauties compete for the spotlight.
You won’t find much of what’s common being offered in the shop.
Think of this as more of a “MagiK gem in the woods,” where only those who are lucky enough to stumble upon it may find exactly what they’ve been wishing for.
Services
Have you ever visited a public garden and thought “I wish I could hire them to come work for me?”
Especially if that public garden is one with a heavy focus on native plants?
I have professional, hands-on, horticultural training as a former extended-season intern at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens. You may even catch me periodically volunteering either there or at Twining Valley Park’s public education native garden. I don’t offer typical landscaping services like mowing lawns, but I can offer garden consultations, specialized pruning services (anything from grape vines to Rhododendrons) and assist with invasive species identification and removal.
If your garden is in need of a personal touch, check out some of the services I offer below.
Support the art
support the nursery
My art is a way I help to support my nursery.
After all, art and gardening aren’t separate. Gardening is painting with life. The truth is, people only shop plants a few short months out of the year. If you aren’t in the market for plants or garden services, there are other ways you can help to fund my mission.
