Eastern PA Native

The plants offered in this section are native to eastern Pennsylvania based on most recent verified records, both current and historical. A handful I’ve chosen to include based on records suggesting the possibility they may have been present but not recorded. For example, if there are counties bordering eastern Pennsylvania, but the entire state of PA is omitted. Plants don’t care about political borders. It’s close enough to be considered native in my book. I do mention in the details for the plants I’ve opted to include in this manner.

Unlike anise hyssop, a popular near-native, yellow giant hyssop is one of two native hyssops in Pennsylvania, displaying creamy yellow flowers.
