Swamp Sunflower

Description

There are so many sunflower species native to North America, it’s hard to keep track of them all. This one is native to southeastern PA, albeit extirpated from the state, so let’s bring it back! Since PA is at the northern end of the native range for this species, which is far more common in the southeast, it is well adapted for our changing climate.

This species loves growing in wet soil (not suggestive like other species which are only called swamp-something-or-other but can tolerate average soil). They will begin to droop almost immediately if they dry out even a little.

Available in true gallon pots, with three plants per pot.
